The Mersey Juror publishes guest columns from people who care about football on Merseyside and about the city itself. Red or blue, season ticket holder or armchair critic, if you can make an argument well we want to hear it.
Topics we accept
- Liverpool FC and Everton FC opinion: tactics, transfers, managers, academy, ownership and the matchday experience
- The Merseyside derby and the rivalry’s history and culture
- Premier League debate: fixtures, ticket prices, governance, VAR, the fan voice
- Women’s football and grassroots football on Merseyside
- Liverpool city life and culture: food and drink, music, neighbourhoods, travel and things to do around the game
What we do not accept
- Betting tips, odds, casino, gambling or “free bet” content of any kind
- Adult content, CBD, pharma, crypto schemes or payday loans
- Articles that are mostly a sales pitch, or spun and AI-padded copy
- Abuse of players, officials or rival fans. Banter is fine; hate is not
